My family came into La Pausa Restaurant to have some lunch. We had been hours inside Miami International Airport waiting for a flight and needed some food.
This restaurant was relatively near our gate and so we decided to give it a try. There was no wait and we were brought into a relatively full restaurant. The waitress gave us menus and took our drink orders. The restaurant really sells simple foods. We ordered our food (my mother ordered a chicken soup), my brother and I both ordered chicken tenders and fries.
The chicken tenders and fries were decent. Nothing special but at least they took my hunger away. My mother shrugged when asked about her soup, said it tasted no different from canned soup. In other words the food at this restaurant took our hunger away but nothing else... it wasn't bad it just wasn't great either. Same can be said for the service... no smile. Just here's the food and left. As my family said, it's like a cafeteria that calls itself a restaurant. When we got the bill and saw $60, I was thinking it was overpriced for the meal we got.
Either way it did get the job done of taking our hunger away, so there is that. -

This place is the worst restaurant in world. Employees standing around eating while food is waiting to be served. The absolute worst
Eat at McDonalds. Ten times better -

I will literally never return. I had the chicken BLT and it was foul. I'm sorry for the half eaten/cut sandwich photo...but I wasn't planning on yelping. I'm just at the airport, waiting for my flight, and starving. I asked the bartender for his RECOMMENDATION.... and he suggested this.
Honestly, the smell is making me nauseous.
The cheese is gross. The chicken is chewy. The bread is doughy. Gag. The bacon and aioli would have been good on something else.
The Bloody Mary is decent.... but there are no prices listed on the menu???? After my first drink, I asked how much it cost to decide if I wanted a second. The bartender literally paused..."uhhmmmm...like $18.50"
Like 18.50?! The BLT was $15 and the most expensive glass of wine was $16...never again -

After a rough experience at another airport restaurant, La Pausa was a breath of fresh air. Still airport food, still slightly overpriced - but the food, service and quality was definitely worth it. We sat at the bar and ordered beers - $11 got us at least 22 oz each (compared to the $8 for a 12 oz bottle at the other spot just down the hall).
The bartender was attentive, friendly and service was quick. I ordered a burger to go, and my food was ready before I'd finished half my beer. The burger was tasty, had fresh toppings, and the fries weren't bad either. It's nothing special, but compared to the other options around the H and J terminals, I'd come here every time. -

The service is really slow and the waiter don't even make eye contact.
Really sad because it's a nice place but the management is not on. The ball
